“The prisoners confessed to them” – a missionary moment

CAPRO missionaries began work in Rwanda after the genocide of the Tutsis by the Hutu tribe.  The team received a clear mandate from God to embark on discipleship teachings.  Because of this teaching, “The Tutsis who went through discipleship began to go to the prisons on the invitation of the prison officials to evangelize the genocide suspects and convicts who are Hutus.  They confessed that they ministered to these convicts with genuine love and the inmates confessed their joy for having them come to share the gospel with them in a sincere way.  These prisoners also confessed to them some of the things they could not confess to the authorities on their roles in the genocide.”

From CAPRO’s book: “From Africa to the World:  the CAPRO story” published 2019, page 284, by Festus Ndukwe
