“The power of the arts” – a missionary moment

When I was a missionary in Thailand, I was teaching a class of Thai people, who are Buddhists, to sing a Christian song. They really loved it and agreed when I suggested I could teach them the hand movements. Soon, they were all singing and doing hand movements to “There is Power in the Name of Jesus.”

These 30 people, who have never heard the name of Jesus once, were praising God and what a moment that was! As I was watching them, I said “Lord, we will never know what this moment will mean for these unreached people.”

There was such power there, and quite a few of them came and wanted to know more about Jesus. This shows the power of the arts.
