“Tales from a mission to Lesotho” – a missionary moment
During one of our dawn prayer walks, we encountered a band of ladies who were sex workers. They were rowdy and uncooperative initially but some of them opened up later, and before long there was a queue of them lined up to receive prayer ministry.
-With his experience as a campus ministry leader in Ghana, Razak challenged the leaders of the Christian fellowship in Limkokwin University to reach their campus for Christ. Kate followed with a teaching on practical evangelism. Thabiso, the fellowship president, shared, “We always wanted to do something like this but we didn’t know how to go about it. You have given us the inspiration and the skills.” After we returned to Ghana, Thabiso sent news about how he had started Gospel broadcasts in his community.
– Khosto pretended he didn’t understand English. Eventually he said Jesus was killed because he was a thief who stole a donkey. We opened several scriptures for him to read and the Holy Spirit convicted him. In the end, he took off his hat, bowed his head and prayed to receive Jesus as His Lord and Saviour. Beaming afterwards, he couldn’t stop saying, “Ah, this is good news. I must go and tell everybody. I am so happy!”
